Each urn is thrown and finished entirely by hand in our small studio, using locally sourced ceramic clays and natural glazes. A final resting vessel as unique as the life it honours.

— Studio philosophyVessel & Earth was born from a belief that the vessels we choose to hold our loved ones deserve the same quiet care we bring to all acts of remembrance. Each urn begins as raw clay on the wheel, shaped over hours, dried slowly, and fired with patience.
We use only natural, food-safe clay bodies and mineral-based glazes — earthy tones that feel at home among stone and soil and wood. No two pieces are identical. Each carries the small marks of human hands: proof that something was made with time and love.

We understand that no two lives are the same, and we believe a memorial should reflect the person it honours. We take a small number of custom commissions each month, working closely with families to create something truly personal.
Whether it's a particular colour that meant something, a size suited to a small ceremony, or a shape reminiscent of a garden vase they always loved — we'll listen, and we'll make something worthy of them.

Within a few days we'll send you form ideas and glaze swatches for your thoughts.
Your piece is thrown, dried, bisque fired, glazed and kiln fired — a 4–6 week process.
Wrapped in linen and natural paper, hand-delivered locally or couriered with insurance.
